About the motel

Motel sign "The Gravelbourg Inn" was built in 1989 by the Giessen family, immigrants from The Netherlands. Theo and Toos Giessen lived in  Gravelbourg, Saskatchewan, when they decided to operate a motel. Theo, a constructor, built the motel himself, guaranteeing a quality structure. The motel was operated under the same name as it is now.

In 2004 the motel was sold to a company, Les Auberges Gravelbourg Ltee. For two years the motel was operated by two different managers on behalf of the owners.

July 31st, 2006 The Gravelbourg Inn was sold to Cees and Carlien Brouwer, who immigrated from The Netherlands in October 2005. The motel is operated as a family business now. The Brouwer family lives in the house attached to the motel. All activities, managing, administration, cleaning, etc, is done by the owners. During busy days external help, with the same ideas about quality as the owners, is available.

The owners of "The Gravelbourg Inn" guarantee clean, comfortable rooms with several facilities in a quiet and friendly environment.
